Publicly Sharing and Embedding Views

Like workbooks, Views can be publicly shared and embedded in websites that support iframes.

Just as you can share Spreadsheet.com workbooks with the general public, you can share individual Views with a public sharing link or by embedding them in websites that support iframes.

View sharing is a great way to share only a subset of your workbook data, or to share a specific data visualization. For example, you might want to use public sharing and embedding to…

  • Embed a calendar of events on your company website
  • Share a Gantt View with key project stakeholders
  • Embed a Kanban View for a sprint on an internal team website
  • Share a Form View to collect RSVPs from invited guests

Publicly shared Views are read-only. You can choose to disable public sharing and embedding for any View at any time. When you configure public sharing and embedding options, you can choose whether or not viewers can create their own copy of your View in a new Spreadsheet.com workbook.

How to Access Public View Sharing and Embedding

  1. From the View sidebar, navigate to the View which you want to share
  2. Click the pink Share button in the upper right corner and select Share View from the dropdown
  3. Configure your settings in the Public View sharing and embedding dialog
