Recurring automations don't have to be tied to any event in a workbook, and can reoccur daily, weekly, or monthly at the time and date of your choosing.
Automations can be triggered multiple ways, for instance by a change to a worksheet, hitting a certain milestone or date, or can recur regularly. Recurring automations don't have to be tied to any event in a workbook, and can reoccur daily, weekly, or monthly at the time and date of your choosing.
Setting up Recurring Automations
You can create a recurring automation in much the same way you create other automations. When you open the Automations dialog, navigate to the "Recurring" category in the Categories menu on the left side of the dialog.
Or, if you're creating a new automation from scratch, click the When button in the Trigger block and select "Every time period (recurrent)" from the dropdown.
This will open the Recurrence settings dialog where you can specify the frequency of the recurring automation via the Number, Interval, and Time fields. Click the blue Save button in the bottom right corner to save your settings.
With your recurrence settings configured, you can continue to define the Action blocks as you would for a non-recurring automation.
