Connect your Spreadsheet.com and Slack accounts to automatically send messages to Slack channels when automations are triggered in your worksheets.
Spreadsheet.com offers many automation options to send Slack messages. Use a Slack automation to let your team know about new sales deals that came in, to congratulate the team when tasks are completed, or to post about customer service requests coming in via forms.
Setting Up a Slack Automation
Slack automations work with a variety of automation trigger types. Begin with a pre-configured automation recipe from the Automation Recipes dialog, or create a new automation from scratch. In the example below, we'll create an automation that will post a message in a Slack channel when a new Form response is submitted in our Product Launch Plan workbook.

Begin by selecting "Send Slack message" in the Action block. If you haven't yet connected your Spreadsheet.com account with your Slack workspace, you'll be prompted to do so.
This will place a new action within the Action block with two customizable fields: Message and Channel.
Click on Message to edit the contents of the message that will be posted in the Slack channel when the automation is triggered.
Use the Message field to manually enter text or pull in worksheet data directly with tokens, accessible by clicking the plus icon in the upper right corner of the field. In the example above, we're using tokens to automatically enter row data from the "Task Name" and "Owner" columns.
Toggle the checkbox next to "Add a link to this row" at the bottom of the dialog to include or exclude a link to the row that triggered the automation. Once you've configured your message, click the blue Done button in the lower right corner.
Next, click the Channel button to specify which Slack channel the message will be posted to.
When the automation shown above is run, the resulting Slack message looks like this:
