Spreadsheet.com makes it easy to share workbooks with other workbook collaborators. Use Spreadsheet.com's built-in sharing feature, send permissioned users a link, or share your workbook publicly as a view-only workbook, or embed your workbook in another website or app.
Embed your workbook publicly is a great way to keep your audience apprised of important data, dates, or project milestones contained in your worksheets. Embedding Spreadsheet.com workbooks expands the capabilities of any website you administer and allows you to share the latest information with your audience. For instance, embed a Gantt chart of your application's updated release calendar on your application's blog, embed a workbook with your sales team's biographical and contact information on your About us page, or provide important public-facing financial documents in a spreadsheet on your investor pages.
To embed a workbook publicly
To embed a workbook publicly, navigate to the desired workbook, click File and then Public share and embed...
Note: Only workbook owners can access the public sharing and embedding settings.
The public workbook sharing and embedding menu will open, allowing you to enable sharing and embedding, adjust what is shared, get embedding code, and preview the way the shared workbook will look.
For instance, below is the embedded workbook we enabled in the animation above. Feel free to navigate, filter, and sort it as desired.
Embedded workbooks are view-only and changes to the sorting and filtering on an embedded workbook do not persist for other viewers.
Note: Publicly shared workbooks are completely open to the public. Others cannot edit or add to your workbook however anyone can share this link with others. You should not share workbooks publicly with confidential information.
See our full suite of embedding workbooks articles for more details. Or note other ways to share, like sharing using Spreadsheet.com's built-in sharing feature, share an editable workbook link with permissioned users, or publicly share a workbook with a link.
