Like traditional spreadsheet software, Spreadsheet.com allows you to print your spreadsheets.
Sometimes you need to print your spreadsheets. Maybe you want to distribute copies of your quarterly finances at a board meeting, or leave a copy of an attendance sheet with a substitute teacher, or have a printout of your to-do list to keep on your desk.
Spreadsheet.com makes it easy to print copies of your spreadsheets and configure your printed document exactly how you want it.
How to Print
To access Print options, click the print icon from the top left corner of the toolbar when inside a Sheet view, or open the workbook menu and navigate to File > Print.
How to Access the Document Menu
To access the document menu,
- Open the document dropdown by clicking the arrow to the right of the document name
- Select "Menu..." from the dropdown
Or, use the keyboard shortcut Crtl. + P (Cmd. + P for Mac users) when inside a Sheet view. Either option will open the Print settings window, from where you can configure your print layout.
Once you’ve configured your print settings, click the blue Next button in the top right corner of the Print settings window to be taken to your system’s print dialog.
Configuring Your Print Layout
The Print settings window offers a range of options to configure your printed spreadsheet to your preferences.
As you change the options in the panel on the right side of the window, the sheet preview at left will dynamically update. Let’s take a closer look at each option.
1. Print
Under the Print header, you can select which part of your spreadsheet will be printed. Click on the “View” dropdown to specify whether a “Selected Range” or an entire “View” will be printed. If you select “View”, you can specify which view from the second dropdown.
Currently, only Sheet Views can be printed via the Print settings window.
2. Page setup options
Use the dropdowns to specify the Paper size, Page orientation, Scale (either “Normal” or “Fit to width”), and page Margins.
3. Sheet setup options
Toggle the checkboxes to opt to print the Table region only, excluding the table header region, or to print both the table and table header regions, as well as specify whether or not the sheet’s Grid lines should appear on the printed copy.
4. Page order
Specify the way in which your spreadsheet will be broken up across pages – either over and then down, or down and then over.
5. Alignment
Specify whether your spreadsheet will be center, right, or left aligned on the printed page.
6. Headers and footers
Toggle the checkboxes to specify what information will be included in – or excluded from – the printed sheet’s headers and footers, including the Date, Workbook title, View name, Page number, Total pages, and Spreadsheet.com branding.
